Week 01: The Gift of Hospitality

This week I visited Naomi Thompson and learned about canning food and the gift of hospitality.  Naomi has shown hospitality to hundreds if not  thousands of people throughout her life.

    Hey Anna!

Enjoyed the video very godly and cool!

Your grandmother used to invite my family over for homemade ice cream and volley ball, even though some of my family were not “godly”.

We always had a great time and still talk about those days.

I am looking forward to a new video each week,

    An old friend,

    Kathy

This is very well done, Anna. I very much enjoyed your enthusiasm and animation – you were a joy to watch and I look forward to more!

As a young pastor’s wife, I was mentored under a very dear lady, much like your Grandma. She taught me not only about being a pastor’s wife, but also about accepting gifts from others in the work of the ministry (she told me “If you can’t use it, someone else can!”) and thus how to be a conduit in ministering to others. She’s gone home to the Lord, now, but her impact on my life has been a blessing to me, and passed along to others. And I see this happening in your life, as well – being passed down to you from your Grandma, then onto succeeding generations.

    God bless!

I’ve been privileged to meet your Grandmother – but have never had the opportunity to get to ‘know’ her. I loved your sharing about her background and how she met Christ! I do know she has raised some remarkable kids ….and now grand kids! What an amazing woman! What an amazing granddaughter.

Blessings on your continued journey with these remarkable women who have left their marks for the Kingdom on planet earth.

Especially love this week, because it featured my Aunt Naomi. She has always exhibited the traits of a Godly Woman and I should know; I’ve known her since the day I was born. She taught me much as I was growing up and continues to be a role model and mentor to me.
